In a recent survey we asked some of our brides and customers what they thought of I Do magazine and the website.
Here's what they had to say.....
The double page spread we have in I Do magazine has created a great amount of interest and business for our venue.
We would not hesitate to recommend advertising in the magazine, particulary as it is going to a targeted audience, who recieve it in their hand.
After each Wedding fair, either on that day or the day after, we have in the region of 20 - 30 enquiries directly from brides reading the magazine.
The quality of the publication in terms of design and print is excellent, as well as the support the team at I Do offer to their advertisers.

Just wanted to let you know what an amazing response we've had from being a member on the I-Do website and the voucher scheme.
To be honest things had started to look pretty bleak at the end of last year with the recession finally hitting us.
When we met you in February and you told us about the members area of the site and the advertising rates for that I was kind of sceptical - £10 per month surely couldn't generate that many leads but at £10 a month we thought we'd give it a try.
It has been amazing!!!
We have seen more clients in the 5 months since we first joined "I Do" than we did in the entire 12 months previous.
The visits you get to the suppliers area of the website must be astronomical and the voucher scheme is ingenious!!!
Anyone thinking of advertising with you, should!!
All the staff at I Do are helpful and professional and your designers are second to none.
Just can't wait to see what they come up with for our full page ad in the next magazine and the impact that will have on our bookings!!
Thank you so much Richard - I Do has dragged our business out of the doldrums!!
Kindest regards
Abbie @ Butterflies & Angels
I have read through the magazine and think it's great as it is the only local one you can get! All the other magazines I have bought are useful to get ideas from but most of the suppliers are miles away!
I'm looking forward to having a look at the discount vouchers attached
Thanks again
Laura
Hi Richard.
Just finished reading "I Do " magazine. I love it and it has given me so many ideas for my wedding. I am getting married in 2011. Just before my 50th. My partner & myself have both been married before but have both had very small weddings. This time although still on a very tight budget, this feels like the first time and the emotions & excitment of organising things is amazing. We are having a Harley Davidson escort ( should be quite a spectacle )as we are both Harley riders, but not only that it will be a part Scottish wedding as i am from Scotland, the best bit is my married name wil be ENGLAND !!!!. When i went to book the regstrar he even laughed, A Scot called England..... but i love him.Anyway back to the magazine. It's great, but can you add more services from Chesterfield/Dronfield/Sheffield area as we would love to keep everything as local as possible, but i have been scouring the websites nearest to us that i saw in the magazine, so thanks for that. will look forward to my I DO e-mails. Elma XXX
Thanks for the info :-)
Keep sending the info!!
Keep up the wonderful work :) Thank you Caroline
Hi Richard,
I like the I-do wedding magazine as there is so much to do and look at, and it is a great help for brides to be. It gives lots of advice and help which is what everyone needs! I haven’t downloaded any vouchers as I didn’t really know you could! The emails have been great informing me on events

The I Do Magazine is great and its so local which is even better! The layout is great and simple and I don’t really think there is much you can improve on. One thing that would be nice is that it had a countdown to your wedding and you got a weekly email saying how many days you have left when you have signed up. I hope that helps!
Thanks Aleks
Thanks Aleks
I would like to say that I enjoyed the magazine and found it to be interesting and full of information. I have found myself going back and looking at it on numerous occasions. This pretty much covers what I think of the site as well. As yet I have not downloaded any vouchers as we have only booked the venue and will be making enquiries on other products over the coming months, although we will definitely be looking at some of the companies featured on your site that have vouchers available. The emails you have sent are appreciated as it may be that something comes up that is of interest that we would not know about otherwise. To be honest I think both the magazine and website are already of a good standard and look forward to seeing what changes you make, as they can only help in making life easier for us brides to be.
Kind Regards
Angela
Dear Richard,
Thank you for your emails they have been very helpful, and I have really enjoyed reading your magazine, it has given me lots of ideas and helped out with local suppliers.
But I would like to be removed from your database as I got married in February and it just reminds me that I will never walk down the aisle again Boo..
Thanks Again
Rebecca
Hi I think the mag is great, I found some great tips n ideas. The website is good also. I have not downloaded any vouchers as I am not great on computers and am not confident in doing so. Your emails are good and a nice update, though some of the wedding fayres were too far away from me to attend, but I understand this is not your fault. There is nothing I can think of that I would advise to improve on!! Best wishesCaroline Clarkson
Hi Richard,
The plans are going well and found the most fantastic photographer at Castleford through I do mag. Unfortunately I am holding the fort on my own at the moment as my fiancĂ© is in the army and is away on exercise in Canada for four months. Hope you are all not getting too stressed putting together the next I do and re-designing the website at the same time, it sounds nearly as stressful as organising the wedding haha. I love I do magazine, Anyway let’s get on with the job and get those questions answered.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for the prize draw I would love to feature in I do magazine. Put in a good word for me and if I don’t win I will hold you personally responsible. Haha.
Thanks Erica.x
Thanks Erica.x
Hi Richard
I find your emails extremely helpful, and have been to plenty of the wedding fayres you have suggested. Please do not send me less. I can’t say I have ever been onto your website. But do read the magazine.
Thanks
Jen
The I do wedding magazine is good, it is simple, it does give you many ideas.
The website is good as well, it’s easy to use.
Yes I have downloaded some of the vouchers especially for the signature bride shop.
and your emails have helped, I don't think there is anything that you need to improve there.
I don't think there is anything that needs improvement, it’s all very simple and helpful to me.
Hope this helps you.

I love the I-Do magazine website, I use loads and find it really useful, it’s easy to use. The only thing I think it lacks is guidance about possibilities about your big day i.e. samples of invite wording or different approaches to speeches.
When I arrived at a wedding fayre (Sitwell Arms) they ran out of Magazines so I have never actually received one, however I have found your emails very useful and your online site. It has up-to date information I require such as local wedding fayres & suppliers of which I have used for my forthcoming wedding. I have not downloaded any vouchers as most of my wedding has been booked for some time, however I am still wedding shopping & will certainly have a look at the vouchers on offer this month.Your emails have been very useful and I would like them to keep coming please.I can’t think of anything you could improve of (I would really like to see the magazine though)The prize draw sounds great, I would love our grand wedding to be published in your future issues.
It will be my 29th Birthday on our special day, and my partner is a police officer hence the date (999) Our theme for our special day is PINK TIE & DIAMONDS. Dare I say no more, apart from a very lavish day from beginning to end with lots of surprises along the way for our guests to enjoy. Keep up the good work.
REALLY INFORMATIVE AND EYE CATCHING
I have got some good ideas from your magazines and found the dress of my dreams through one of the advertisements in your magazines!
I love it it has given me lots of inspiration
Brilliant, very helpful and enjoyable to read
I enjoy reading the magazine and getting tips for my wedding day as well as seeing how other people got married and what they did
I really liked the magazine, I found some great ideas and found it really useful that shops/services shown in the magazine were for local businesses that I could actually access
Fantastic and informative
I have only received the one copy which I got from a wedding fair at Rogerthorpe Manor last year and it has been passed throughout various family members due to its useful information and ideas
Excellent
Very informative
It is very great helps a lot
I love it, I think it's really informative & relevant Huddersfield
I really like the magazine - wouldn't have known about it though if I hadn't been to a wedding fayre (Brooklands)
VERY INTERESTING, LOVE LOOKING AT ALL THE PICTURES AND GETTING NEW IDEAS!
I love your magazine; it's great to have a magazine that's relevant to the area I live in
Very helpful with ideas for my special day
Well obviously I love it. I think most brides are addicted to buying wedding magazines and I really am no different. What makes this one a must have for me is that it shows me all the stockists in my area. Ever heard the saying if it’s not from Yorkshire it’s (not exact words her) not very good...hahaha...it’s true with this mag

It's interesting when planning a wedding
I found it to be really helpful but it took a lot of looking through to find certain things. For example my florist (who Ii happened upon by accident) was actually featured and I hadn’t found that part
It's great, really enjoy looking at The I Do magazine I have seen was well presented, had lots of useful information, contact numbers and ideas. (I especially liked the cover you did on Nicky and Daz Jones wedding, but I am biased as we are Nicky and Daz's friends)
I think it is great, it’s free not like wedding mags that cost anything from £5 onwards. It has all local information and suppliers again not like wedding mags in the shop. The last one I bought was from America and although you can get some nice ideas from them you don’t know where to get any of the products from.
Really enjoyed reading through the magazine. It has given me lots of ideas of how I want things to be on my big day and lots of useful contacts. It is really handy that everything is local, rather than all over the country like it is when I buy magazines from my newsagents - and best of all it is free! Weddings are expensive enough as it is!
Good ideas for wedding on a budget
I am impressed with your magazine. I am newly engaged (12th April) therefore I am only at the start of planning for our wedding in August and everything is very new and mega exciting. Your magazine and website have helped me to start to put together plans and think about our budget. An easy read with lots of ideas and I've enjoyed browsing with close friends
I have stuck to the website so far as I find bridal magazines expensive.
I think it is very informative
Only had it once at a wedding show but enjoyed reading it
I like the magazine but I do think that there is a lack of Scottish based things - Sorry!!
Good information, useful because it featured local people/businesses
I think it's great, we both do. A real help, especially when we first started looking and starting to plan our wedding, when we had no idea what we were doing. It was a fab starting point, and a great 'reference guide' to see if we've forgotten everything
Excellent, good local suppliers to choose from, all the other wedding magazines don't really cover local areas
Very useful for me, I found a copy at the end of last year when I was planning my wedding and I found my jeweller for my wedding rings, the style of bridal bouquet I wanted and a shop to get my mum's fascinator - not bad going for one magazine!
The magazine is really good and eye catching. It has everything you need to know about planning a wedding.
It has really good stories and really good competitions.
It has really good stories and really good competitions.
Really like it - contains lots of inspirational wedding ideas
Great! Lots of good ideas
Really good, informative, realistic, full of local ideas for the wedding, a good read not full of expensive couture bridal gowns like some wedding magazines. It really appeals to a wide audience of brides to be and people involved with planning weddings.
I've only been online so far
I like the magazine as it has lots of local sources
The magazine is very good
I like I Do Wedding Magazine as it has great ideas and more importantly they are for local companies which is a great help when you looking for suppliers
Very helpful and extremely useful when locating suppliers locally
Very informative
It's a really well put together magazine, looks well designed and very informative
Great easy to use
I thought there were too many adverts and not enough information in the magazine
Really helpful
I've never seen the physical magazine just the website
Very good
Enjoyed it
I like it
Good magazine that features good articles and local services. I like the fact that the real weddings included in this magazine are all normal couples with normal jobs!
I thought the magazine was very useful and lots of good tips and local services...which is good, as some of the national magazines are more London based.
The Magazine is great and we have got it every time it has been available since we got engaged 14 months ago. It is informative and very helpful especially with theme ideas etc. The only downside I would say is, my partner and I are having a gay civil partnership in July and there is not a lot of information relating to this side of things. I know this may not be a very commercial thing to have in your magazine but there are a lot more gay "weddings" happening these days and not a lot of coverage of them to help people in our situation. The only magazine who has featured a "gay" wedding real life section that I know of was "The Scottish Wedding Directory - Real Life Weddings". I know this probably sounds really negative but it is something that does affect my partner and I directly and we would have liked to have seen more. The magazine as a whole is very informative and helpful in all other fields.
I like having a local wedding magazine and find it helpful when looking for ideas. It is also useful when researching and booking suppliers e.g. florist, photographers
I thought the magazine was a great help and helped me find information I was looking for
